FOLDING AND INSERTING

The State Central Mail Operations currently has inserters that fold letters, inserts them into envelopes and seals the envelope. We can insert up to five items (combination of pages, pre-folded inserts and reply envelope) into a standard #10 envelope or into a 6 1/2" by 9 1/2" envelope.

NOTE: The State Central Mail Operations discontinued its folding and tabbing service because it costs more to fold and tab a mail piece than to fold and insert it into an envelope, even when considering the cost of the envelope.

SORTING

The State Central Mail Operations has a sorter that sorts mail correctly and efficiently based on postal codes and addresses for fast delivery to their appropriate addresses.
