The Division of Facilities Management (DFM) was established in 2015 as part of Real Property Management (RPM) within the Alabama Department of Finance. The Act which created RPM and DFM also abolished the Services Division (SD), with SD's responsibilities transferred to DFM.
DFM supervises the management and maintenance of the capitol building and all other Department of Finance-owned buildings in the capitol complex in downtown Montgomery, AL. Services include, but are not limited to: carpentry, electrical needs, grounds maintenance, heating and air conditioning, painting, and plumbing, as well as central mail operations for the capitol complex. As operators and maintainers of these State-owned buildings, we also work closely with RPM Divisions of Leasing Management and Construction Management.
